The Bathrooms of Iceland (or Toilets, or Loos, or WCs)

I know this seems silly, but we were so impressed by the nice (and very well-designed) bathrooms in Reykjavik, that we decided to start taking photos of them. The sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and toilet stalls were so…..pretty. And so sleek, and modern, and uber-functional. I was duly impressed. So, here is our ode to the Icelandic toilet:

The Harpa (Concert Hall). This was the grand poo-bah of Icelandic bathrooms!

And for something a little more down-home, the (flushing) toilet at Videy Island:

  1. Those are some flash toilets! Looking forward to being surprised by some Icelandic loos in July. 🙂

Have a great trip — we’re there in July again as well! This time, we’re skipping Reykjavik to get out into the countryside. Thanks for stopping by!
