About

This blog chronicles our family travel adventures.  It began as a way for us to keep a written record of our 2011-2012 sabbatical, when we relocated from Vashon Island to Canterbury for a year.

We are a family of four:  two academics (one in computer science, the other in music) and now 5-yr-old twins.

Our blog is intended mostly for family and friends, so they can keep up with our (mis)adventures while we’re traveling, but also for our own selves.  We’d like to have a record of our travel adventures, and a blog seems like a good way to do it.

But visitors are very welcome!  Please stop by and say hello, virtually speaking.  We love to hear from others who share our passion for travel and adventure!
